William M. Eck, CWC has a unique background in philanthropic fund-raising and estate/legacy counseling, having mentored some of the most prominent families and family estates in the Rocky Mountain West.
A past Director of Wealth Management for the Rocky Mountain Adventist Healthcare Foundation, his extensive background in philanthropic leadership recently led him to be a contributing-author to a book entitled Beating the Midas Curse , a work focused on Mr. Eck's passion for helping family elders entrusted with large estates to develop accountability, responsibility and pride among upcoming heirs.
Having served many years on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Planned Giving Roundtable, Mr. Eck is a member of the National Committee on Planned Giving and a prominent member of Rotary International. A member of the National Eagle Scout Association - as a youngster having earned the rank of Eagle Scout, himself - Mr. Eck was, for more than a decade, the Director of Planned Giving for the Denver Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.
Named Rotarian of the Year by Rotary District 5450, Mr. Eck has additionally served as District Foundation Chair, Foundation Annual Giving Chair and member of Rotary International's Permanent Fund Committee Foundation and Annual Giving Chair, which, under Mr. Eck's leadership, raised $2.3 million over a five year period.
A veteran philanthropic fund-raiser, Mr. Eck has long been intimately familiar with the complexity of large estates and multi-generational family planning.

In concert with family leadership, True North then designs and implements a customized interpersonal empowerment process for potential heirs. "We don't work directly with money," Eck assures. Paraphrasing Warren Buffet, Mr. Eck says "the perfect inheritance is enough money so that they can do anything, but not so much that they do nothing."
